Membership License

The license that comes with every Duck Heroes file. While your Patreon membership is active you may print the models, display the prints, and sell them. The digital files stay private, and the license ends when the membership does.

Version 2.0Effective October 14, 2026Updated October 14, 2026

In short

While your membership is active

Download the files from Patreon, print as many copies as you like, display the prints, photograph them, and sell the physical prints you make, online or in person.

Always

Never share, upload, resell, gift, or leak the digital files, original or modified, and never sell the files themselves. A remix is still a Duck Heroes file.

When your membership ends

The license ends with it. You stop printing, displaying, listing, and selling the models. Prints you made for yourself may stay at home as private keepsakes.

Fan-made themes

Some ducks interpret a film, game, or character. Duck Heroes cannot license anyone else's characters. Selling those prints is your own responsibility.

1. Definitions

“Duck Heroes”, “we”, and “us” mean the creator of the Duck Heroes models. “Patreon” means the Patreon platform, where memberships are sold and files are delivered.

“Files” means the 3MF, STL, and any other digital model files we publish, including project files, previews, and updates. “Prints” means physical objects you make from a File.

“Active Membership” means a paid Patreon membership in good standing for the period that Patreon shows as paid. A cancelled, expired, refunded, charged-back, or failed-payment membership is not active once the paid period has ended.

“You” means the person who holds the membership. If you buy on behalf of a business, you confirm that you may bind it, and the business may use the license only through you and its own staff.

2. What you may do

For as long as your membership is active, we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download the Files through Patreon, store them for your own use, and make Prints from them with your own printers.

You may print any number of copies, and you may change scale, filament, colors, and paint finishes. You may combine Prints with your own accessories, bases, and packaging.

Your membership tier on Patreon may add rights or add limits. If a tier description conflicts with this license, the tier description controls for that tier. Unless a tier description says otherwise, every paid tier carries the rights in this license.

3. Selling and displaying prints

While your membership is active, you may display Prints and sell Prints you made yourself, in your own shop, on online marketplaces, at craft fairs, at conventions, in a physical store, and to wholesale buyers. There is no separate fee per sale and, unless a tier says otherwise, no cap on quantity.

You may photograph and film Prints, and use those images and videos to advertise and sell them, including on social media, as long as they show the Print and do not reveal or distribute a File.

Describe a Print truthfully. You may say it is “a Duck Heroes design” or “designed by Duck Heroes”. You may not say it is official merchandise of a film, game, or brand, or that Duck Heroes endorses your shop.

Prints must be made by you, or by your own employees or contractors on equipment you control, from a File that stays under your control. A third-party print-on-demand or print-farm service may not receive a File unless we approve it in writing first.

4. The digital files

The Files are for you only. You may keep a private backup, and you may use them on the devices you own or control for your own printing. You may not give access to anyone else, including a customer, a friend, a print group, or a collaborator.

A File you change, split, recolor, hollow, scale, or remix is still a Duck Heroes File. It stays private under this license and you may not publish it, sell it, or give it away.

Do not include a File, a download link, or a project file in anything you sell or give to a customer. Customers receive the physical Print only.

5. What you may not do

You may not upload, post, share, lend, rent, sublicense, or sell a File, or help others obtain one, on any file host, 3D-model site, marketplace, social platform, forum, chat group, torrent, or cloud folder shared with others. Leaking a File ends your license immediately.

You may not sell digital products made from the Files, including STL or 3MF files, paid or free remixes, sculpts derived from our models, or print-ready files in a store.

You may not use the Files, or images of the models, to train, fine-tune, or prompt a machine-learning or generative AI system, or to generate and distribute models that imitate them.

You may not make molds, casts, or injection-molded copies, or otherwise manufacture the models by a process other than printing on your own printers, without our written permission.

You may not use the Duck Heroes name or logo as the name, avatar, or identity of a shop, product line, or account, or present yourself as Duck Heroes, a partner, or an official seller.

You may not break the law with the Files, and you may not use a Print in a way that is defamatory, hateful, or infringes someone else's rights.

6. Fan-made themes

Some ducks interpret a film, game, book, brand, or character. Those models are fan-made sculptures and are not official merchandise. We cannot, and do not, license anyone else's characters, names, or trademarks.

Whether you may sell a Print of a fan-made duck depends on the rights of the owner of the underlying work. Selling such a Print is at your own risk. We may remove a model from the library if its rights holder objects.

7. Name, logo, and credit

Duck Heroes, the logo, the wordmark, and the names PrintableDucks and DuckHeroes identify us. This license does not give you any right to them beyond the truthful description in section 3.

Crediting “Designed by Duck Heroes” is welcome and not required.

8. When the license ends

The license lasts only while your membership is active. It ends automatically when your paid period ends, when you cancel and the paid period runs out, when a payment fails or is reversed, or when we end it for a breach.

When it ends, you must stop making new Prints, stop displaying Prints commercially, remove listings for them, and stop selling them. You must also delete the Files and every copy of them, including backups, except where the law requires you to keep a record.

Prints you made for yourself may stay in your private possession. Ending the license does not undo a sale that was already completed and delivered while your membership was active.

If you rejoin, the license starts again from the date the membership is active. Rejoining does not make a period without membership retroactive.

We may agree in writing to a wind-down period for specific stock. Without a written agreement, none applies.

9. Enforcement

If you breach this license, we may end it at once, ask a platform or host to remove a listing or a leaked File, and pursue the remedies the law gives us, including damages and an injunction. Where the law requires it, we will refund the unused part of your paid period.

We may use reasonable means to find out whether a File has been shared or a listing is unlicensed, including checking whether a seller holds an active membership.

A breach that you fix promptly after we point it out may, at our discretion, be treated as a warning.

10. Your responsibility as a seller

If you sell Prints you are the seller. You are responsible for your listings, your customers, your taxes and business registration, consumer-protection and returns rules, and for product safety.

A small figurine can count as a toy or a children's product in some countries and can carry safety, labeling, and material requirements. Check the rules where you sell. We do not make a safety claim for any Print.

11. Changes

We may update this license. The version and date at the top show when. A change that reduces your rights takes effect at the start of your next billing period after we announce it on Patreon or on this site, so you can cancel first. A change that adds rights takes effect immediately.

Files you already received stay covered by the license version that applied when you received them for as long as your membership stays active, unless a change is needed to comply with the law or to stop abuse.

12. Ownership and warranty

We own the models, Files, photographs, text, and brand. This license gives you permissions and does not sell or transfer copyright or any other ownership. You own the physical Prints you make, subject to this license and the rights of third parties in fan-made themes.

The Files are provided as is. A Print depends on your printer, material, and settings, and we do not promise a result on every machine. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profit. Nothing here limits a liability the law does not allow to be limited.
